Dan Eckdahl

As Director, Dan is responsible for project acquisition and delivery, contract management, staffing, and safe execution of Garney’s facility work throughout California.

Dan graduated from Colorado State University in the fall of 1989 with a degree in construction management. Following graduation, he began his career in the water industry at a construction firm where he spent 26 years. Dan joined Garney in 2016 as a Senior Project Manager and soon moved up to become a Regional Operations Manager, where he facilitated and administrated multiple water and wastewater infrastructure construction projects. He was promoted to Director in 2023 and sits in Garney’s Northern California office.

Throughout the course of his career, Dan has delivered more than $1.2 billion in water and wastewater facility projects to satisfied clients across the U.S., combined equally in both competitive bid and collaborative delivery methods. His approach to delivering successful projects is focused on building trusting teams, creating learning environments and growth opportunities for Garney’s employees, and establishing long-term client relations through collaboration and a win/win philosophy. Dan is also a certified and active member of DBIA and serves on Garney’s Risk Management Council.

In his time away from work, he enjoys golfing, bird hunting, fishing, anything water, and most importantly, spending time with his wife, two sons, family, and friends.
