Yvonne Waterman

Yvonne is Garney’s Human Resources (HR) Director. She has had the opportunity to work in all areas of HR, including recruiting, onboarding, training, employee relations, performance management, benefits, and compliance. Today she oversees recruiting, payroll, benefits, compliance, and HR information systems.

Her career as a Garney began in late 2019 when she joined as an employee-owner, bringing with her 25 years of consulting expertise. Prior to her role within Garney, Yvonne had a pivotal role as a consulting partner for over two decades, chiefly overseeing the company’s health and welfare programs.

Yvonne also serves on Garney’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Council and Benefits Council. She has been Vice President of the Women Construction Owners & Executives Kansas City Chapter since 2020 and is also active in NAWIC and SHRM.

Outside of work, Yvonne enjoys spending time with her husband and two grandsons. She has a strong passion for mission work and finds joy in serving others. Yvonne is based in Garney’s Kansas City headquarters.
